A symbol of bold reinvention, the Commodore sofa gives a fresh, modern perspective to the iconic British chesterfield sofa whose roots dates back to the 17th century. Generous proportions, deep bandage folds of sustainable hemp fabric, and a lavish and abundant use of materials give Commodore its commanding presence and luxurious levels of comfort. Covered in our unique Anatolian Reweave Ivory fabric, created using natural hemp repurposed from grain sacks, with a richly textured finish. The hemp has been painstakingly unpicked, rewoven, and hand-dyed in a beautiful ivory shade. The name Commodore is a salute to Tim Oulton’s father, Major Philip Oulton, whose antiques store and expertise in the antiques world marked the very beginning of the Timothy Oulton brand and our love affair with timeless design.
Only material is Anatolian Reweave Ivory fabric. Our models are finished with hand.
